- This level builds on the thematic approaches of KS2 with an applied competencies-based approach (pshe-association.org.uk). This means that the curriculum is devised holistically to approach wellbeing with key take away ‘assignments’ the students can implement daily to improve their performance, such as breathing, visual, social and other techniques that strengthen their daily experiences.
- The three competency headings suggested by the PSHE Association (pshe-association.org.uk) are compounded upon with applied VHE health-building strategies for young students in their formative years. The competency headings consist:
- Independence and Aspirations;
- Autonomy and Advocacy
- Voices and Influences.
