Vibrant Health Education
VHE is a Community Interest Company (CIC) whose goal is to spread ‘applied health awareness’ and health-building strategies to support wellbeing in British schools and educational institutions in a fresh, fun and practical way.
About vibrant health education
Vibrant Health in Schools is an educational approach to healthy living and maintaining a balanced lifestyle for pupils across national schools. It endeavours to introduce preventative health-building strategies and create a truly empowering experience, which can positively impact and strengthen pupil’s health from the very first day of teaching.
What's The Service?
VHE PSHE programme is tailored to equip pupils with a sound understanding of knowledge and skills necessary to make safe and informed decisions.
We provide a tailor-fitted Personal Social and Health Economics (PSHE) curriculum for PSHE teachers and headteachers to feel at ease in PSHE lesson preparation with the additional comfort of knowing that VHE lessons are designed to improve all aspects of school and personal life and the children’s learning journey!
The curriculum has been developed by a team of medical doctors with over 20 years of professional expertise in preventative healthcare. VHE is intended as an extension to current statutory guidance on Relationships Education, RSE and Health Education, to include applied wellbeing strategies and techniques to armour students during high-level stress situations and daily responsibilities.
Focusing on health-strengthening and building independent resilience, we believe in the importance of maintaining a personal/social health economics for students to maximise a holistic approach to their health, relationships and living in the wider world.

Our Mission
As a CIC our purpose and mission is centred around delivering a health-building service to the educational community, namely for young students to maximise their efficiency of dealing with the wider world – irrespective of wealth, class and status.
Focusing on health-strengthening and building independent resilience, we believe in the importance of maintaining Personal Social Health Economics to maximise a holistic approach to health-building, relationships and living in the wider world.
● Our aim is to provide tailor-fitted Personal Social and Health Economics programmes to teachers and educational institutions enabling an enriching and confident approach to PSHE preparation for growing children.
● We strive to provide confidence and comfort in knowing that all VHE lessons are designed to cover coping with all aspects of school and private life in children’s learning journey.
● To provide excellence in a school curriculum that has been developed from leading experts in the field with over 20 years of professional expertise in preventative healthcare.
Who Are The Community?
The VHE PSHE programme is tailored to equip young pupils in schools – with a sound understanding of knowledge and skills necessary to make safe and informed decisions. Our curriculum is intended as an extension to current statutory guidance on Relationships Education, RSE and Health Education, to include applied wellbeing strategies and techniques to armour students during stressful situations and daily responsibilities.
As a non-statutory subject, PSHE can be regarded as a confounding subject for schools to encompass many areas of study deemed the best for their pupils. VH Education is devoted to filling the gaps for schools and education providers who understand the necessity of holistic nurture in education to improve overall wellbeing, beginning in the classroom and translating in all other areas of social life.
PSHE PILOT
This first lecture to the VHE programme introduces the concept of innate self-regulatory mechanisms in the body and how we can identify and strengthen them and provides the foundational theory to the rest of the topics. The lecture concludes with the concept of the “environment as our external metabolism” and highlights the idea of individual and collective health.
This topic recaps the basic mechanics of breathing relative to the nervous system. Students are taught to assess when to activate certain areas of their nervous system and how to utilise breathing techniques to maximise appropriate behaviours and optimal functioning.
Student are taught how to recognise postural faults in themselves and in others. This topic presses on adopting healthy and graceful posture and reminds that every movement is an expression in the physical of our current internal state of being. The concept of body armouring is also discussed at length to prepare students for emotional stressors affecting their physicality.
In this topic, we learn about emotions as ‘energy in motion’ – and similar to a battery – the body may get overcharged with ‘potential’ energy. Students are reminded to manage their emotions instead of being managed by them and are given various exercises to learn when and how to drain off excess build-up of ‘charge’ in appropriate and health-conducive manners.
This topic will gravitate around the idea of belief systems, reminding students that, like any computer, the brain is completely programmable. Various techniques are covered to aid with focus, attention, rationalisation, memory and imagination – most importantly utilising a very important secret ingredient available to us all!
This topic gives a breakdown of ophthalmological physiology and its wiring with our brains, so that students can grasp the gravity of the eyes as a tool for learning. Various visual optical illusions are explored to help with eye-muscle and optical training that students can incorporate into their everyday habits to strengthen eyesight and cognitive wiring.

EMOTIONAL MANAGEMENT
COGNITIVE FUNCTION
VISION
Our Approach
We are a small team growing organically from grassroots. We rely on schools, teachers and educational professionals who are really passionate about what they do and the sector they are in. Therefore, the educational material offered by VHE for school PSHE and RSE tutorials and workshops only cover the following Key Stages at this stage of the project:
Our research into UK primary and secondary schools has revealed a significant demand for a more engaging PSHE curriculum, as current statutory provision is often perceived as sometimes unengaging, monotonous and departed from pupils’ active everyday life. A 2012 study flagged issues about the diminished status of PSHE education and how schools did not place adequate value on PSHE lessons. Moreover, 75% of adult mental health issues originate before the age of 18, emphasising the need for early intervention and education into health-building strategies for these younger demographics.
The PSHE Association’s suggested curriculum follows the themes: Health and Wellbeing; Relationships; and Living in the Wider World. VHE will be entering the market as a new player in the PSHE education consultancy niche for schools, taking a holistic and applied approach to wellbeing. At its core, VHE aims to expand PSHE curricula for health and wellbeing, to provide practical applications for young pupils to take greater autonomy over their overall physical, psychological and emotional wellbeing.
